Mary Ellen began her educational journey at Baylor University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Religion. Driven by a desire to support the emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being of others, she continued her studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, earning a Master's degree in Counseling. Her academic training, combined with her faith-informed perspective, equips her to provide thoughtful, holistic care that addresses the needs of the mind, body, and spirit.

Supervised by Linda Baxter, MA, LPC-S, Mary Ellen provides counseling for adolescents and adults, integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with clients' spiritual beliefs when desired. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

Her supervised clinical experience spans inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, university counseling settings serving young adults, nonprofit ministry environments, and outpatient counseling with adolescents and adults. These experiences have provided her with a broad understanding of the challenges individuals face across different stages of life and circumstances.
